WANTED: All 1st and 2nd year Webelos
2016 Webelos Woods XXXIV
Come join us for a weekend of games, hikes and activities geared toward introducing Webelos Scouts to what awaits them as Boy Scouts. The events are sponsored by local Boy Scout Troops planning to show your Webelos a great time! Enjoy the mountains, fresh air, star gazing, hikes, sleeping in tents or under the stars, other Webelos leaders and watching your Webelos grow as they encounter Boy Scout activities!
Events will begin Friday evening. Arrive early for set up and BE PREPARED to have FUN!
Webelos Woods is being held in the main camp of our Mataguay Scout Ranch and we do anticipate it filling quickly. Please register early. Each family will need to complete an online registration. Each Pack is to designate one person to be the Pack’s Event Leader. The registration confirmations will be emailed and registration is only being done online.
***Please note that you are to provide your own food and camping gear for your Pack at Webelos Woods***
Registration: $17 per person and is available online at www.sdicbsa.org (includes hat, patch and fun!) T-shirts can be ordered for an additional $10 ea (slightly higher amount for sizes above adult XL). Part A & B (not the doctors release) of the NEW BSA medical form will be required for each participant at check in. Please bring a copy for this event as they will not be returned. Registration will close on October 16, 2016.
Orders for t-shirts will close on October 7, 2016. T-shirt orders placed after October 7 will be based on available supply. No refunds on t-shirts after October 9!
Orientation Meeting: Each Pack’s Event Leader will attend the orientation meeting to receive the leader’s packet and to hear the details of the event. The Leaders’ meeting will be in Atherton Hall at Camp Balboa. The date for the meeting is TBD from 7-9 pm. After the leaders meeting, the leader’s information will also be available on the council website at www.sdicbsa.org.
