FREE Indian Lore Merit Badge Class

  Mission Trails regional Park Foundation Education Program Instructor, Alicia Berg, is offering a free, 2.5 hour Indian Lore Merit Badge class.  There will be classroom and in-the-field learning and participation opportunities.  Scouts will learn how reed houses were constructed, a few words in the Kumeyaay language, and have the opportunity to process yucca and acorns with the instruction of a Native American Kumeyaay. 

Some of the badge requirements will be the responsibility of the Boy Scout following the class.  There are no pre-requisites and no worksheet needed.

Class is limited to 20 Boy Scouts and a parent is encouraged to attend.                           

Please register as soon as possible to ensure your spot.  

Please bring your merit badge booklet, paper, pen, a blue card filled out and signed by your Scoutmaster, a water bottle and snack.  Please wear your Class A field uniform.
