Radio Merit Badge

Saturday, August 12, 2017

Time: 10 am - 3 pm  

Location: Camp Balboa Radio Room (1207 Upas St. San Diego, CA 92103)

Cost:  1 can of Chicken Noodle Soup or Peaches

(For Scouting For Food) 

 

The class will begin at 10 am and all requirements for the Merit Badge will be completed by 3 pm, including an opportunity to "talk on air" using radio rigs provided by experienced amateur radio operators.

This class is for BOY Scouts who are FIRST CLASS and above in rank.

There is NO COST for this Merit Badge class.  

Prerequisites and Requirements:

  • Requirements 1, 2 and 8.  Please READ and ANSWER.  This should take less than 2 hours
  • Please bring a BLUE CARD that is signed by your Scoutmaster.
  • Bring a hard copy of the Radio Merit Badge Worksheet, Printed Copy
  • Bring Sack lunch (including water!)

Class size is limited to 15 scouts.  PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!  NO WALK-INS!!
