High Adventure Leader Trek Training (HALTT)
This 37-hour course prepares unit leaders for backpacking and wilderness camping trips. Topics include trek planning, equipment, food, health and safety, orienteering, and places to go. Leaders completing sessions I, II, and III receive a patch and numbered card.
Units planning to hike, backpack or snow camp and earn High Adventure Awards must have a trained adult with a current card accompanying the trip.
