High Adventure Leader Trek Training (HALTT)
This 40-hour course prepares unit leaders for basic backpacking trips and wilderness camping trips. Topics include leadership, trek planning, equipment, food, health and safety, map and compass. Leaders completing sessions I, II, and III receive a patch and numbered card.
Units planning to earn High Adventure Awards must have a trained adult with a current card accompanying the trip.

Studies of Hyperthermia and Hypothermia
Discussions of HALTT, Water Trek, and Specialist Training

Prerequisites: |
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be registered with BSA (as an adult) including YPT
- Current BSA Medical Form
- Current Hazardous Weather
