Camp Balboa- Fall Family Camp

November 1 - 3, 2019

Scout FAMILIES are invited to this FUN-FILLED EVENT at Camp Balboa. 

Cost: $20 per person register by October 18

After October 18: additional $5 per person age 6 and older

Siblings 2 yr- 5 yr: $10, Children under 2: NO CHARGE


Optional Sunday Brunch $5. Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner provided for additional $20 per person over age 5 or you can bring your own food and cook in your campsite.

Saturday ONLY option: $15 (includes Saturday Lunch)

Saturday ONLY Siblings 2 yr- 5 yr: $5, Children under 2: NO CHARGE

 Check in is from 5-9 pm Friday.   PLEASE CONSIDER CARPOOLING as parking is LIMITED.  

Friday night camping is on your own, there will not be program or meals. 

If you come Saturday only, Check-in will begin at 8 am.

Opening ceremony will begin at 8:45 am on Saturday

SATURDAY: Activities are open from 9 am to 4 pm.  Range sign ups will be available Saturday morning during check-in. 

A detailed schedule will be available the day of the event. Scouts will perform skits and songs at the campfire on Saturday night at 8 pm. 

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:  Ranges (for scout and scout age siblings only) open pool (depending upon weather), hikes, games, crafts 

SUNDAY: Enjoy an optional breakfast ($5), participate in the "Scouts Own" worship service and clear your campsite. Check-out by 10:00 am.

WHAT TO BRING: Completed BSA Annual Health & Medical Record PART A & B for every camper (adult and child), tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, clothing for warm and cold weather, swim suit & towel, hat, toiletries, sunscreen, water, snacks, chair, and flashlight.

**OPTIONAL: Friday evening camping is optional; however, there is no program or meals on Friday night.

WHAT NOT TO BRING: weapons (toy or real), pets, skateboards, bicycles, electronics, or alcoholic beverages. NO OPEN-TOED SHOES or SANDALS allowed at the Ranges.

 Gate will be closed 10 pm – 7 am daily and cannot be opened except for medical emergency vehicles

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing 1 week prior to event NO refunds within 1 week of event

Please submit all requests for cancellations and refunds to Balboa Family Camp at sdiccamp@scouting.org or mail in your request to Family Camp SDIC-BSA, 1207 Upas Street, San Diego, CA. 92103. The deposit is non refundable.
