Canoeing Merit Badge

Saturday, October 11, 9:00 am- 3:30 pm

Designed for ages 11-17

Scouts will have the opportunity to earn the Canoeing Merit Badge

Youth Aquatic Center (1750 Fiesta Island Road) 

Cost: $35 for youth

Lunch is NOT included. You may bring a sack lunch

Check-in opens at 9:00 am 

Youth must be pre-registered. NO WALK-IN'S.

SCOUTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS Scouting America SWIM TEST

 

Per the merit badge requirements Scouts are required to pass the Scouting America swim test before attempting any other requirements. Swim test can be done before your arrival to this event. This can be done the following ways. 

  1. 1. Have a signed and filled out Scouting America Swim Classification Record Form. 

  1. 2. Have completed the Swimming and Lifesaving Merit Badge within the last year. 

  1. 3. Have completed kayaking, canoeing, and or rowing merit badge at summer camp this year, 2025.

Swim test will also be done during the check-in process. We ask parents to stay until the scout has passed the swim test. If a scout can’t pass the test they will be unable to continue in the class.

All attending Scouts must bring a Merit Badge application (blue card) with them, signed by their Unit Leader. Blue cards shall not be issued at the event.

$35.00 per Youth 11-13 yrs old
$35.00 per Youth 14-17 yrs old
Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing 2 weeks before the event. Requests for refunds after 2 weeks will be at the discretion of the Staff Partner and only for extreme, extenuating circumstances.

Please allow 2-3 weeks after the event dates for processing of your refund if applicable.
