Class Size is Limited and fills up quickly!

 

Many versions of flag ceremonies exist. This class will teach Scouts (and Scout Leaders) history and etiquette of the American Flag, give them scripted ceremonies, and teach Scouts/Scouters to properly write their own script to fit each event. This class will also help Scouts, when asked to be an honor or color guard, to come together from across our council to best perform for each event.

Our Goal: To better serve our community with honor guard trained Scouts/Scouters. Each Scout and Scouter will learn at least four types of flag ceremonies and one flag retirement ceremony

What to bring:

  •  $10--this covers the cost of snacks and all supplies
  •  Wear your Field Uniform (commonly referred to as the Class A Uniform)
  •  Water Bottle

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 3 days prior to the event. Refund requests made within the 3 days before the training will be at the discretion of the Training Chair. Please email your request to Training at trg@sdicbsa.org. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing of your refund.
