Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is a two day, overnight hands-on training program that give adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in their outdoor programs.
It is required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to be fully trained.
Participants will be camping overnight on Friday and should bring a small tent, overnight sleeping supplies, chair, compass, Scout Handbook 13th edition. BSA Field uniform and activity/unit t-shirt recommended;
Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes & wide brim hat. Your classroom is the outdoors.
Bring your completed BSA’s Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A & B).
Attendees should have completed Leader Position Specific training, Youth Protection Training (YPT) & Hazardous Weather.
Bring completion certificates if desire for the “Trained” patch.
