Chess Merit Badge Clinic

Saturday May 25th, 2019   9 am- 5 pm

Where:  Atherton Hall Camp Balboa, 1207 Upas St San Diego 92103

Cost:  $5 per Scout

Scouts must know how to play Chess "basic playing ability" is fine, clinic is designed for learning.  

First half of clinic will be a review of Chess Merit Badge requirements; second half will be a chess tournament (to fulfill req # 6). 

The Chess Merit Badge pamphlet is the text book for the Class.  

Prerequisites: Read Merit Badge pamphlet. Download & print the Chess MB workbook here  (it will open in a new window).  Complete as much as you can prior to class.

Please bring a sack lunch, water bottle, a notebook and pen/pencil. 

A copy of the BSA Medical Form - Parts A & B is required for each participant - it is the permission slip to be at the event.

Adults are always invited to help or observe.
